1. Informational Purpose Only

SquawkLink and the AskYour™ A&P diagnostic engine provide information, communication, and record-organization tools for general aviation maintenance. All output — including probable-cause analyses, suggested diagnostic paths, technical references, regulatory citations, logbook summaries, and pre-filled forms — is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a repair instruction, an airworthiness determination, a return-to-service authorization, or maintenance advice for any specific aircraft.

2. Not a Substitute for a Certificated Mechanic

Only an appropriately certificated person (such as an FAA-certificated A&P mechanic, a mechanic holding Inspection Authorization, or an authorized repair station) may perform, approve, supervise, or return aircraft to service after maintenance, in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 and all other applicable regulations. SquawkLink does not perform maintenance, does not diagnose your aircraft, and does not replace the judgment of certificated maintenance personnel. Every maintenance decision must be made by a qualified, certificated professional using approved technical data for the specific aircraft.

3. SquawkLink Technologies Is Not a Repair Station or Aviation Authority

SquawkLink is operated by SquawkLink Technologies, LLC, a software company. SquawkLink Technologies, LLC is not an FAA-certificated repair station, is not the FAA or any government agency, and does not certify, endorse, license, or supervise any mechanic, inspector, or facility. Pacific Continental Engines, an FAA Part 145 certificated repair station (Certificate TZ3R885L), is a separate company whose institutional knowledge informs the AskYour™ A&P corpus; use of SquawkLink does not create any customer relationship with Pacific Continental Engines. Maintenance relationships formed through SquawkLink are solely between the aircraft owner or operator and the mechanic or facility they select.

4. AI-Generated Content May Be Incorrect

AskYour™ A&P uses artificial intelligence. AI systems can produce output that is incomplete, outdated, inapplicable to your aircraft’s configuration, or simply wrong, even when it appears confident and well-cited. Reference data — including FAA Service Difficulty Reports, Airworthiness Directives, service bulletins, and manufacturer technical data — changes over time, and revision status must always be independently verified against current, approved sources before any maintenance action. Never rely on SquawkLink output as the sole basis for any maintenance, airworthiness, or operational decision.

5. Pilot-in-Command and Operator Responsibility

Nothing in SquawkLink alters the responsibilities of the pilot in command under 14 CFR 91.3 and 91.7, or of the owner/operator under 14 CFR 91.403, to determine that an aircraft is in an airworthy condition before flight and to maintain it in accordance with the applicable regulations. If SquawkLink is unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate, those responsibilities remain unchanged. Do not delay addressing a potential safety-of-flight condition to use, or because of, this platform.

6. No Guarantee of Accuracy, Availability, or Outcomes

While we work to keep content accurate and the Services available, SquawkLink makes no guarantee regarding the completeness, accuracy, currency, availability, or reliability of any information on the platform, including user-submitted content, mechanic responses, logbook extractions, and third-party data. Logbook Intelligence output depends on the records you provide; you are responsible for reviewing and confirming every extracted entry, and official aircraft records remain the controlling records.

7. FAA Filings

Where SquawkLink pre-fills FAA forms such as Service Difficulty Reports, the certificated individual submitting the filing is solely responsible for reviewing, completing, and verifying its accuracy before submission. SquawkLink does not submit filings on any user’s behalf and is not responsible for the content, timeliness, or regulatory sufficiency of any filing.

8. Third-Party Content and Links

SquawkLink may display or link to third-party content, websites, and services, including payment processing and app distribution platforms. These are provided for convenience only. SquawkLink does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

9. Assumption of Risk; Limitation of Liability

Aviation involves inherent risk. By using SquawkLink you acknowledge that you use the platform at your own discretion and risk, and that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, SquawkLink Technologies, LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from use of the platform, reliance on its content, or the acts or omissions of any mechanic, facility, or other user. The complete limitation of liability appears in the Terms of Use, which govern in case of any conflict with this Disclaimer.
